As a result, the turbocharger oil supply pipe of some vehicles equipped with a 4-cylinder M282 gasoline engine may leak. If the oil leaks to the bottom guard plate of the vehicle and the road, it will increase the risk of accidents for other road users; in addition, it cannot be ruled out The possibility of contact between the leaked oil and the high-temperature parts in the engine compartment, the risk of fire cannot be ruled out, and there is a safety hazard.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will check the production date of the turbocharger oil supply pipe on the affected vehicle through authorized dealers. If it is the production date of the affected parts, replace the turbocharger oil supply pipe free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
The (II) recalled 33 imported C- class, E-class, S-class and CLS-class vehicles with production dates from April 19, 2017 to June 4, 2019, and 1272 domestic C- class and E-class vehicles with production dates from April 20, 2016 to September 3, 2019.
Due to software reasons, the safety belt warning function of the vehicles within the scope of this recall cannot meet the requirements after the after-sales maintenance and replacement of the instrument cluster. If the passenger on the driver or passenger seat is not wearing a seat belt, the seat belt warning function will not display the flashing warning light and accompanying warning sound in the instrument cluster, but the warning light is always on, which does not meet the national standard Requirements for seat belt reminders. If the personnel on the vehicle do not fasten the seat belt, the risk of injury in the event of a vehicle collision will increase, and there is a safety hazard.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will upgrade the instrument cluster software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through authorized dealers to eliminate potential safety hazards.
